Anyone use one of these?  I can see a dedicated spot on the bench as some advantage but in terms of cost in relation to the simple handhelds I am missing it I guess.

88501 - APS BENCH PRIMING TOOL
Price $ 115.95

I dont see much of a benefit over hand priming but here is one a little cheaper

Yeah I didn't really look around to compare prices as I am still wondering what their benefit is.  On RCBS site, their demostration vid even uses the regular handheld one and not even the handheld APS one at that.

I wonder if you get any better feel as my gut says the handheld has better feel for seating..........

I will provide you with one real good benefit to shift from hand-priming to a bench mounted primer: some, uhh elder folks often suffer with arthritis in their hands, wrists, or fingers. And, after enough squeezing their old beat up hands just can't manage enough force to get the primer seated. How do I know you might ask---well I have the APS hand primer, and I also have the condition described above. After about 50-60 rounds (if I'm lucky) the old hands just give up, and require a couple of days to recoop. I am not a wealthy man, but if I'm to continue handloading I will find the $$ to buy a bench mounted primer (either that or find a new hobby).
