I got some nice once fired 308 match lake city brass and after resizing them, I noticed that the length varied from 2.005 to 2.015.  My question is would you guys bother trimming them to make them all the same length?  They are all under the suggested trim lenghth of 2.015. I am trying to make accurate loads with 168 grain smk with about 41.5 grains of varget. I suppose it would save time not to trim them but if it is going to affect accuracy I will definetly do it. Thanks for your help guys.

Trimming to a uniform length promotes consistency...........consistency is good for uniform bullet seating and crimping.  Consistency and uniformity are good for accuracy.  You decide.

I always trim cases for target loads, rifle or pistol.

Blasting load, is what you are loading without trimming cases.

Don't waste a match bullet in a blasting load.

If you're going to use a roll crimp then I would trim them all to the same length, if you're not, then it's not as important

Sir, FWIW after resizing I trim all my .308 brass to 2.010", but I don't crimp.  I agree with the earlier post uniform trim length promotes accuracy.  JMHO, 7zero1.
