Got myself a broken front sight protector. I got a GSG-522 with rabbit ears style front sight.

Yes, that will work. But for not much more, you can convert it (mostly) back to the old style GSG-5 with the kit the CDNN sells for $19.99. This kit come with both of the parts you listed and a whole lot more.
