Can anyone tell me if the standard version is worth the extra money? Also, weight difference aside what are the pros and cons of each? Any advice/help is appreciated. Thanks.

The lightweight uses a polymer receiver, as far as I know that's the only difference. It's worth the extra money if you don't want a plastic gun

ok thanks, that doesn't affect shooting at all does it? Plastic doesn't really concern me as long as it still shoots well.

Yes i am also interested.  I will forgo the standard model in lieu of the lightweight version because i plan on adding the advanced stock and the front rail system.  I believe if i change these parts, i would then be removing the cheap plastic parts that are found on the light weight verson.  (the stock and forward shroud).  Unless im leaving out another part that is different on the light weight version?

The receiver itself is plastic on the lightweight version.

Does the receiver being plastic affect the gun in anyway? besides being lighter...

I asked this exact question about three months ago. I bought the lightweight version. I don't regret it. It is a nice shooter.

The only difference between the standard weight and light weight is that the light weight has a polymer receiver and cocking tube housing, making the gun about 3 lb lighter and less in cost.  All other features, stock, rail, shroud, hand guard, etc are the same parts between the two guns, take down is the same, internal design is the same as well.  The receivers are the same mold between metal and poly.  That's all!

ok thanks for all the input, i'll probably go with the lightweight since i haven't heard anything bad about it and it's cheaper. i just dont know when, but i can't wait!
