So I just found another loose screw on my GSG5-PK. Using the search feature I was able to find a thread about it:
====================================================================================== Quoted: This ought to be a sticky. Take the handguard off, look for the barrel lockdown screw under the barrel/receiver block. Is it loose? if so, the barrel may have come too far in and it's pinching the rim between the boltface and the barrel breech. Readjust the barrel, clean off the threads of the lockdown screw, apply some blue loctite, and retighten the screw. Problem should be solved. At least that was what stopped my GSG-5 from double tapping. ====================================================================================== My question is, how do I "readjust the barrel"? I'm not sure how you go about doing that before you tighten it back down. |

The barrel is left hand thread.Tighten the barrel up until the slot that is cut for the extractor on the barrel and breech block line up.The barrel face will be almost flush with the breech block. Also the serial number will be at 3 o-clock on the right side of the gun,Then use some red or blue loc-tite on the stud before it gets tightened down.
Hope this helps. Mike Cummings.. |
