Question on the factory GSG5 magazines, I recently bought three factory magazines, all of which were marked 22 rounds on the red box. Two of them have the numbered markings for every two rounds, starting with 4 and these ones actually hold 24 rounds. The other doesn't have the numbers and holds exactly 22 rounds. What's up? Do most of the magazines with the numbers hold 24 rds instead of 22? Cool with me if they do.
I tried searching on here, reading the tacked threads, just couldn't find it. Edit - Nevermind, I'm a retard, the one without the numbered markings did hold 24, it just "snagged/stopped" at 22 briefly. |
| Yah, I've been eyeballing CDNN, you're right, cannot beat that price especialy with there online shipping special this month. I did some Google searching and it does seem that Promag makes the one without markings, at least from what I have foud. Very weird though they came in GSG packaging. One way to tell is by taking them apart. alot of the info I found states that Promag one has a weaker spring tension, but supposedly they had fixed this problem so it may not answer who made it. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but if it shoots and feeds fine, I guess it doesn't really matter because even the Promags are running that about 20 a pop. |

I compared the boxes, every number on them, and the boxes are identical. Font, everything. I doubt CDNN would rip someone off that way. Like I said, I bought 3 mags from a local store in factory boxes, and 2 of the 3 had the numbered markings on the mag, and 1 did not. So, I suspect maybe GSG produced a bunch without the numbers, or maybe they don't have quality control look for that before they got boxed, who knows? Not a problem at all for me as they all hold 24. Hoping to ops check them this weekend with my new to me -5P.
I hope my 3 lug adapter comes in this week as well then I can use my decible reducer Spring tension seems to be equal on the mags, with the exception of the one that came with the pistol, that one seems weak so I might have to pick up a new spring for it. We'll see how it works. Thanks for the replies. |

The first mags were not numbered, the next ones were numbered, the current ones are numbered and say "Made in Germany" one them. I hope this clear it up.
I have each version of them. I think they did the last version to keep people from confusing them with the promag ones. The ProMag ones have no nubers, but have "ProMag" on the floor plate, I have one of them also. |
