I have a SBR GSG-5. Where can I get the GSGPK front? and is sold as a kit including the barrel and hand guard? And finally would it be a DIY project?

Thanks guys!

I'm doing this as well.  You can contact ATI (call Christopher) and they will sell you the parts.  It just requires parts swapping, it's pretty easy.  The parts should be around $100.  Christopher will know which parts to use.

I recently asked this in an email...heres what u need:

Hello,

We can sell you the parts for sure but we do not offer any Gunsmithing
outside of warranty service because we have to do the repair work for all
our imported guns.

To convert to the PK front end, you would need:

The cocking tube assembly  $39.95
4.5" Threaded BBL         $45.95
PK Hand guard   $15.00
Flash Hider (the 5P flash hider threads to the housing, the PK hider threads to the barrel)  $25.00
Shipping & Handling        $10.00

Total $135.90

To place an order we require your name, shipping address for UPS, contact
phone and credit card # w/ exp date and three digit sec code.  Sorry, we do
not accept Discover.  If you prefer to order by phone please call our
customer service dept at 800-290-0065.

Thanks!

Does anyone know if the GSG-5P SBR stamp is good for the PK conversion. Even though they will be the same s/n # the barrel and overall length will change.
I am thinking about doing the same thing being that for another 135 bucks you basically have two weapons in one.

I don't believe it would be an issue, contact your local ATF office to be safe, but I believe a SBR is a SBR.

Just a quick note on this conversion.  On my Gen 1 GSG-5, all the 5PK parts fit except the handguard.  So the cocking tube assembly and the 4.5" barrel assembly went on without any issues.  However, the "barrel lock stud", which is the screw that keeps the barrel from spinning on the GSG-5, is too long for the handguard the fit.  So my handguard (with VFG) won't fit unless I remove this barrel lock stud.

Can someone with a GSG-5PK tell me if the 5PK either has no barrel lock stud, or a short one?

thanks!

Here's some pics.  The barrel lock stud is the screw that's below the front end of the receiver where the barrel assembly connects to the receiver.

Need a shorter one, it is needed. The factory ones are short on the PK's. You can get one at a hardware store, it is metric.
