I just picked up an unfired GSG-5 off the boards which came with the SEF lower and HK pushpins. Upon getting home and opening the box I discover that there are two large cracks in the lower where the pushpin passes through I don't think this is something which ATI can address so I'll have to see if I can do something about it myself. Luckily for me the seller included all the removed factory parts with the rife. My question is how hard will it be to swap the lower out for the original factory part |

It's really easy. Check out the mod stickies at the top of the gsg forum page. Basically the SEF lower mod but in reverse.
Lower mod on page 1 Obviously you don't do the mod all you have to do is take the trigger pack out and slide it into the old lower. Note in the pics the brass washer looking spacers, they will fall out pretty easy just so you know. There is a set screw at the bottom of the safety selector. Unloosen that and slide the whole selector out on both sides. Then I forget if there is a screw in the grip if so take that out too. Then it should come right out. |
