Last week on the recommendation of okfirearms, i contacted Julio at MyGSG5.com to find a short length low profile claw mount.
after several emails, Julio told me he no longer carried the short mount, but would send me a used one off of his one GSG5 free of charge. Today I got the package with a mount, GSG-5 hat, GSG-5 pin, and a weird squarish piece of plastic... unfortunately USPS destroyed the mount smashing it into three pieces through a padded shipping envelope... 
apparently the plastic is a mag loader device Julio designed. personally i hate mag loaders, i think MagLULAs are stupid and absolutely worthless. so i was very skeptical. BUT, when loading the GSG-5 mags when you get down towards the bottom under spring tension the little finger holders on the follower do tend to slip and sticking my big fingers in the grooves on the mags to hold the follower down is uncomfortable, so i gave it a try Picture of the loader, notice how small this thing is, very simple straight forward design 
simply slide the device over the mag body and push the follower down and add rounds as normal 
i found this a lot more comfortable than trying to use my fingers, it's a simple device, easy to use, and pretty cheap. ($12 + 5% off). the thing fits right in the palm of your hand and doesn't slip. if you plan on doing a lot of shooting with your GSG5, it's probably worth checking out |
