| A question for all you who've SBR'd the 5 PK and 5P...If I read the NFA requirements correctly, there has to be a set of markings on the registered part. On the GSG platform, what gets marked and how? I've run searches and all I can find is AR related info, not GSG. I'm thniking about SBR'ing a 5PK through a trust. Thanks for your help. |
Definitely been covered in here before just check the pages. Like haLfLiFe stated, upper needs to be engraved. Name, City, State. What the post office recognizes is what you can abbreviate. In your case your trust name would be your name, City pretty much can't be abbreviated and state can be its letters like NV for Nevada. Happy stamp collecting and welcome to the forum!

That is exactly where Keith at NFA Investments engraved mine. He milled a flat spot and then added my info.
There seems to a good bit of room there too, incase you have a long trust name. It need to be engraved on the right half of the clam shell, this is the side that has the ATI serial #. Check out Keith at NFA Inv. i sent him my right half of my reciever, had it engraved, powder coated, and back to me in just over a week. Only thing i had to do was clean up some of the over spray of the powder coating on the inside with some sand paper. The bolt was not sliding very well, but it wasn't a big deal to me, i dont mind tinkering(which you probably already do with this gun.) Maybe mention this to Keith and he might mask it off a little better. |
