Hey all, need some help with my GSG5.
So I'm pulling it out of the safe and I noticed that there was something rattling around in the stock. I pulled the stock and found a small spring inside.  Now I had been shooting a couple of days before so I figured something may have happened after I cleaned it, but I cant figure out where this spring goes. Its identical to the bolt hold open spring, however thats not missing. I also checked the small spring in the front of the trigger housing and that isnt missing either. Any thoughts?

I dont think my crappy cell phone pic will help much. The spring is identical in size, shape, and color to the bolt hold open spring.

That looks like this spring  Mine feel out when I cleaned it, and never knew it.  Have a look, and let us know.

Maybe it's the spring that operates the magazine safety, although I don't know how it could have slipped out of its little crevice while the trigger pack is inside the lower receiver housing.  Does your magazine safety work, i.e., does the metal bar spring forward or will it stay pushed back so the trigger will fire?

Its not the bolt hold open spring. The magazine disconnect is working, and so does the magazine release. I looked everything over again to see if I could figure out what was missing and still couldnt find anything, so I decided to go shoot it. I put 100 rounds thru it without any issues. I'm wondering if it has always been laying around in the gun or stock, maybe something left from the factory?

Ahhhhh, having a few extra parts fall out is over rated anyway. Probably not necessary. Oh Sheesh.

I believe that's the spring that fell out of mine too..  If it is, it should be visible the location where the spring goes on to the GSG if  you have your extractor locked back.  I goes on the left side of the GSG's wall.  It was a long time ago so I don't remember any other details.  I'll try pulling out my GSG and taking a look.

If you BHO spring is still in place, then you got a bonus one with your GSG.
