I did the mod yesterday.  It works as he states.  What is does it remove some of the take up.  Take up, is the movement of the trigger before you start to engage the sear.  Your actual trigger pull will remain the same.  When is mod is accomplished it will actually move the trigger back just as if you have started to pull it.  I have not shot the weapon with this mod yet but it shouldn't effect anything else.  I used one of the screws that I had removed from the gun when I did the bolt mod.  I had to cut the screw down then dremel off some of the head.  Whether or not you have to do that is going to depend on the screw you use.  He is right in the fact that it is easily reversible  if you don't like it.
