Any reason why I couldn't use the short magazines in my carbine for benchrest shooting? Anybody got any they hate and want to send me? I'll trade Screw Sets for magazines.

No reason you couldn't use them, they are interchangeable between all of the models. I don't have any that I could trade though, all of mine are the full length ones. The short mags would also be great for shooting off of a bag when sighting the weapon in.
