GSG-5 and SWR Spectre > GSG-5

I have an SWR Spectre Suppressor that I would like to put on a GSG-5. Is this possible and what mods would I have to make, to make it happen. Thanks. Oh yeah....first post!

i ordered a spectre as well. you need to buy an adapter. they have some on gunbroker, and google gsg-5 suppressor adapter- there are a few places that sell them. let me know who it sounds- i cant wait to do my gsg-5pk

Which model GSG do you have? I haven't decided on which one to purchase yet.

Very difficult to add a can on the carbine, IMO. Swarfworks sells a thread adaptor for the PK & the P models. No clue if the adaptor matches your can, sorry.

What do you want to do with it?

If a SBR is possible down the road, then get the PK or P model. If a can is your only concern, then go with the PK model, IMO.

If you get a PK, all you need is a thread adapter.

talo i have a pk. i plan to SBR it with a can. i have heard great things about the spectre i cant wait- i bought an AR57 upper to use the spectre as well. it looks sicks on my sundevil lower with magpul stock/grip flat dark earth- i just need to figure out what sight- here varmint varmint varmint (it is legal right- i will look into it- i plan on shooting coyotes and such) anyway the PK is a cool addition to my obsession i need to take a pic when i have my lefty ar-15 done with all my BLACK toys

Picked up my PK today

Can you put a single point sling on the PK? Do they make an adapter for it?

Yes. I just tapped the end plate and put an Uncle Mike's Sling Adapter on there. Get the one with the extra long bolt, not the screw. Then went to the store and got a hex nut that would fit into the slot. Use loctite on the bolt and screw to keep it secure.

I have a Gear Sector single-point sling on there. Very happy with it!

I'd never mount a can to something besides the actual barrel. The best route IMHO is to buy a threaded barrel from Gemtech. You simply swap barrels and your gtg.

Since TAL70 bought a PK, there is no need to swap anything. The barrel is already threaded. A thread adaptor is all he needs.
