Ok, so my brother bought one of the carbine's out of the blue while we were at the local gunshow a couple months back and I fell in love with it even before shooting it! I mean everytime I would go over there we'd soon gravitate to his gun cabinet so I could get my hands on it. each time he went to shoot I couldn't make it and vice versa but he'd tell me about it when he got back. I couldnt' stand it any longer and ended up buying one at my local gun store last Friday, brought it home and after the kids went to bed I broke it down and cleaned it, tightened the screws and put it back together. I guess I must have held/fondled/caresed it enough for my wife to ask who I was going to bed with that night - funny woman (I chose the softer of the two). I also found myself 'clearing' the basement of any stray bad guys that might have found themselves down there too The fun happened on Sunday when I took it to the range though: Holy crap what a fun little rifle! First it turned every head walking in and when we got to our lane, the only open one in a room of 8, every one was busy shooting but as soon as I started going through a magazine I could tell I had grabbed some folks attention. I don't know if it was the 'suppressed look' coupled with the lesseneed sound of a 22 or the quick fire stacatto it makes when you go through a mag quick but I got question after question about what it was. It was almost comical! I had so much fun shooting it I forgot to pull my daily carry from my waist to shoot it! It's accurate as all get out to boot - which is always a plus! The complete lack of recoil and the quick fire rate makes me feel better about the price in that it is a mean little rifle too! The biggest pain is that is that you go through every mag in what seems like seconds before you have to reload again! I guess that means I need more mags!!! I only got to put about 300 rounds (about $9 dollars worth - HECK YEAH!!! |

GOOD FOR YOU!!!!
Mine was an XMAS present and I have yet to fire it cause of the dang weather. But all my rooms are cleared on an almost daily basis. I have had various configurations of stocks, forends, optics, bipods, etc off and on a million times. This weekend will hit 60 degrees and I'm thinking it's cherry time. My local State range has a 3 shot limit in rifle mags, so that will be a special Hell in its own right, but I'm hoping the rangemaster will allow me 5 shot sight ins. |

3 round minimum!? that's going to be brutal for you! hopefully it's a slow day at the range and you're the only one out there and they let you go all out!
As a side note, my other complaint I had was that the front sight got lost in the type of paper target I was shooting (terrorist) - the characther's clothes are black and the range has low lighting and I would lose the sight. This thing is so 'point & shoot' accurate that they were still in the silhouette but what are others using to mark the sight or brighten it up? Can you get glow in the dark paint (tridium or something like that?) |
