Like many folks I've been adding stuff to the GSG. After adding the Tokyo Marui railed handguard the weight noticably increased but also gave it a very solid feel. With the VFG and 42mm red dot with mount it was starting to feel like a decked out AR15.

Put it on the good scale and it weighs in at 8.4 lbs as shown in the photo. That's without a mag in it. One thing is for sure, recoil isn't an issue.

Why would all that be needed on a 22lr, plus not to be mean but that thing is ugly.

Need - want - it's such a fuzzy line.

Nothing is "needed" on a gsg. Hell, a gsg in itself is hardly practical. Thats why we love it!

Cheapo airsoft parts and low ammo prices!

I filled the butt on mine with glass loaded potting compound which made it a lot heavier. At first i thought it was going to be too heavy, but once it was fitted and i got the mount, scope, RIS, grip, light/laser etc etc etc.. it balanced out nicely made it really sturdy. I dont notice the weight anymore.

Right on! If we wanted to be practical we'd only have one single shot .22 rifle.

The GSG is first new gun in 15 years or more that I've gotten excited about. Actually, I can't remember the last one that revved me up.

+1

When I wanted weight, I put three rolls of pennies in the stock & then foam filled it. Cost: less than $10.

My pistol GSG is about to gain some weight too!!   Sent in form 1 yesterday.  Hopefully Mr Obama wont get any wild ideas in the next 8 or so weeks??

So if I do the roll of pennys and foam trick on a retractable stock, which hole do I squirt the foam in??   You guys know I'm kiddin'
