....a couple days ago.
I started having some pretty bad issues with it. Using Federal 550 Wal-Mart Ammo the whole time but after the 1st range session and probably 500-700rds it started having problems. It would fire a few rounds then stop. I would have to disconnect the Mag and cycle the action on it to get it to spit out a round that was usually bent or deformed. Put the mag back in and it would intermittantly do the same thing over and over again. I thought maybe I was having loose strikes but Ray thinks it's a loose Extractor. I dunno, whatever it takesto fix it I guess. I sent the while rifle to him. It's a Gen1 rifle. |
| Well it's been with them a week now. Tracking indicates someone signed for it last Friday. I called today after a couple of un-answered emails earlier in the week and got someone other than Ray on the phone. The guy said he didn't know where Ray was. I told'em I sent in my rifle per Ray's instruction but have not heard back from him yet. I left my name. Hopefully I hear back sometime soon with an ETA. |

I have spoken with Christopher, our new Customer Service Representative, who let me know that your gun has been given to Ray for service and repair. As always I ask for your patience and understanding as we are still a very small company struggling to meet the service demands on such a popular firearm. Things will continue to improve, especially with the addition of Christopher to our company, who is busy even as we speak catching up on all the ATI correspondence. He is here to answer your emails and phone calls now, so there should not be any more problems or difficulties in keeping in touch with you guys. Thanks, Brent ATI |

I called American Tactical again today. They've had my GSG-5 about 3 weeks now. I have not heard from them once (email/phone call) except for the post earlier in this thread.
Their Customer Service Rep. said they sent out a bunch of repaired GSG-5's last Friday. He was not sure if mine was in the bunch. He'll be able to check tomorrow for me and give me a call. We'll see if it's on its way tomorrow. |

Well, no call from American Tactical today like they said they would. I'm not surprised.
This is getting rather frustrating. I've been pretty patient and given them the benefit of the doubt. I'll call them tomorrow to check up on it again. I hope I have the gun back before Christmas. |
| Thats scary I like the gsg but have not bought one yet but things like this makes it real easy to keep my money in my pocket im thinking of getting my 2nd 1022 instead but i do understand your pain a lot of companys make you play the hurry up and wait game for whatever reasons if you had to do again would you have still purchased the gun? |

I recieved a call earlier from ATI and they left a message with my tracking number.
Then today the rifle arrived. Looks like they riveted the extractor to the bolt housing. I read this is what they are doing to fix the jams people are having. I won't be able to fire it until after Christmas so I guess we'll see. I was hoping they'd throw in a new mag for me but all that came with the rifle was a hat. |

Have you fired it since you got it back? I think myself and a million others are waiting to hear the results of riveting in the ejector and if it is a permanent fix. Fire that thing for Christ sake sorry, have not been able to fire it.. won't be able to until after Christmas |
