Will an original MP5 forearm fit the GSG-5? My forearm broke at the front screw attachment point and I want to put on something more sturdy. This is a fun gun to shoot but German Sport Guns really needs to improve the cheap plastic furniture!! |
Yes, they will fit on, but snug, if you replace the screw with a shorter one and locktite it in. I have a couple of mine fitted with them. A SureFire Light and a standard one. Any of the forearms that extend tot he magazine well will fit, but the original slim-line forearm will not fit because there is no collar on the front of the GSG5 reciever, like ther is on the MP5. I ordered a G3 handguard and after carefull cutting, grinding (Both the handguard and the GSG5 reciever) it fits perfectly. My form 1 was sent yesterday and around this time in December it will transfom into a SBR. I am having it engraved whie the form 1 is going through the "system" and I already have one of the "new" gemtech adapters with the 3 lug. This along with the CA fixed stock that I have put on in place of the factory one, and it will be an exact replica of the original HK-94/MP5. |
