What about some smart person like Jackal listing the issue people are having in one topic and then GSG reply with their inputs on recommended solutions and what (if any) they plan to do on future productions to solve the problems? GSG and ATI said they are part of this forum. It is a great way for them to see what problems people are having and the kitchen cures they have found. What we are missing is their inputs on problem causes and solutions. We are saving them a lot of time and money solving them ourselves instead of sending them in for them to repair. It would be nice for them to use this forum to weigh in and get the word out to us. |

I have sent Michael an email about a few of the things because I don't know how much time they have to visit the forums. Issues that were brought up in the past and GSG is working on it or did note to fix it. 1. Stocks - They stated they would be making a different stock and also making a longer stock for taller people. 2. Rear Sight - They have a replacement rear sight that does adjust for elevation now. You probably need to email them for more info. 3. Firing Pin - They did make a slight change to the firing pin, although some may still have a problem with it or just want it to hit harder. If there is something specific you guys want to see improved, please let me know and I will relay the message. |
| Not trying to be negative, but if GSG and/or ATI stay "too busy" to take care of the folks making them popular by buying their products, it may not be the best business decision in the long run. They have what many companies don't have, a "Jackal" that takes it upon himself to help out others, and for free. I will just try and see what works, but GSG should solve the problems for themselves then put the solution out to us as well as incorporate the fixes into the production process. |

Eveyone should have a "Jackal". To be serious, I agree with you. But if you feel like you should get a true resolution, then you can always contact Michael at GSG. I am sure he would be more than willing to help you resolve the problem or maybe send you another part. I had the same issue with mine, but for now the red locktite is holding. If it comes loose again, then I'll just try superglue or jbweld or something. Hopefully GSG will change the design of how the ejector is held in place. |

Totally off topic with the GSG, but I'd thought I would share. I have a Walther P22 which ran pretty good except for some magazine feeding issues and a big problem with the extractor putting every spent casing in my face or down my shirt.... a big problem. Walther knew about the issue, but it basically came down to the end user to modify the extractor themselves. Then after numerous people did that, they began to make a newer extractor. Well I got one of those and it only worked about 50% better. I modified my own extractor and it has been perfect ever since then shooting brass out at 4:00. The mag issues were the slots in the sides where the rounds had room to stager. When Walther decided to make longer slots in revision "B" mags, I asked about exchanging my mags for newer ones or just the mag bodies. Again I was told they wouldn't do anything and I would have to buy new mags. So again it was left up to me to get out the dremel and cut longer slots in the mags. Since then, some have gotten newer mags, but I didn't. At least for right now, GSG has been good on getting out parts that people need or break and they have not giving the end user the "run around". |
