I took my GSG out today for its first range trip. I shot about 150 rounds of the Remington hollow point value pack ammo from Walmart. I had one stovepipe jam, 1 fail to fire (AS SEEN ON PIC) and a few times where a round would not load with a full mag. I had to play with the mag to make it work. I was only using one mag. I was shooting at 40 feet from the target. It took me 4 rounds to get the scope locked in. For the most part it was very fun to shot and I am glad I bought it. I still need to add the button bolt buffer and the upgraded screw set I have coming. I also want to get a folding stock, RAS and a cantilever mount soon. With the low mount I have now the bolt handle is in the way when I pull it back to load a round.

Nice

I'm thinking about going with a folded stock as well. So if you would, post a range report. I got a CS stock but it wobbles way to much for the range.

Also, I guess I'm behind in times, what is an screw upgrade kit?

Shooter,

Nice gun and good shooting - what kind of red dot sight is that, and where did you buy it?

50calRay,

Here's a link to the thread which contains the screw replacement info (look 2/3 of the way down the page):

Most of the factory screws are some kind of non-standard Philips head which require the factory-supplied 3-in-1 tool to remove/tighten.  They also can potentially strip easily.

The recommended replacements are hex head metric screws which can be used with commonly available Allen wrenches.  Sets of these screws are being sold by member richierich69 in the EE for $6.00 per set of 14 screws:

The link is below for where I got the red dot site, sorry I cannot make it hot. It was only $33.00 for the sight but shipping was $21.00 because it came out of Hong Kong. For that price they did ship overnight which was cool. Still it is not a bad deal if you check the other prices that people want. The only thing I do not like is the mount. The base is to big.
