I recieved my approved Form 1 for my GSG and wanted to know what I needed to do (or send with) so that I could get my barrel shortened and the adapter added to it?

Also I wanted to know if you guys engrave it as well or is that something that I need to do?

What shipping method do you suggest?

What is the turn around time?

If I pay extra will you ship it back next day? (NFA in transit bothers me)

Can you send this directly back to me or how does it work?

Also do you guys do the 3-Lug conversions on it?

Thanks

ALLCON,

Sorry, I've been offline and planes/trains/automobiles for the past week -- coming home from SOCOM next week, limited internet for now.

Best way to contact Gemtech is to... contact Gemtech.  :)

Give the guys a call at the Eagle, ID offices -  208.939.7222 9-5 MST M-F, they'll get you some answers.

Back to the land of the Interweb next week...

Best all,

Kel

Hey Kel - can you guys engrave a GSG while it's at the shop being converted into an SBR?

I'd also like to know the answer to this, it would be very convenient.

The silence on this one was deafening, so I sent Gem-tech an e-mail.  Yes, they will laser engrave your GSG "for an additional charge."  They didn't specify what the extra charge was.  Come on Form 1!

Sounds promising if the price is reasonable.  Are there any issues with laser engraving on the GSG since it is has a painted surface?  Or is laser engraving the preferable way to engrave a GSG?

I'm shipping the right side of my receiver to Orion Arms in MN for the engraving today.  I'll report when it returns.

***Yes.

We've been doing the laser engraving towards the rear of the gun, in one line down in the sunken stock-rail channel area on the receiver.  Setup and laser engraving is a $20 additional charge, we are not doing engraving by itself, just if we're also performing the Gemtech SBR modification.  Individuals may directly send in your rifle to Gemtech with an approved Form 1, clear instructions of *exactly* how the engraving should read, and we can shorten/profile barrel/install Gemtech GSG5 suppressor adapter nut for $150, or $170 if you want us to also perform the engraving. Return shipping usually runs $20 for UPS properly insured signature required delivery.
