Hi Folks I picked up a GSG-5 today and was hoping you fellow owners could help me with a few questions. Is it normal for the stock to move from side to side with some pressure ? It looks in the manual like you just unscrew the screw to get the buttstock off,but the bolt has a slot also. Does that need to be unscrewed ? Also when you go to tighten the screw do you need a screwdriver in the bolt slot to tighten the screw down ? ( like when you need two screwdrivers to tighten the pivot pin screw on the Colt SP1"s) My last question is I cocked the rifle and put the red plastic piece in the breech so I can dry fire it to decock it and i didn't use a lot of pressure on the trigger but it doesn't seem like it is going to fire. I don't want to pull to hard and break something if there is some step im 'missing. Is the trigger pull that stiff and I'm just not pressing hard enough ? Sorry about all the stupid questions but I just want to make sure I don't break anything. I usually strrong arm everything and end up with problems. thanks for any help. BD |
| Yes , the stock is kinda flimsy and will move side to side..I only have to screw the screw side, but have to use two screw drivers on the handguard and lower...trigger pull issue I don't know..I have dry fired mine a few times which makes rimfire people faint hearted, but have had no issue...do that at your own risk. |

It sucks living in NY, I can't even decock the thing until the dealer gets a 10 rd mag in..LOL They wouldn't block and pin the 30 for me. I just hope they didn't screw the stock up on me.I tightened the buttstock screw a while ago because the screw was loose, but did not over tighten it and checked it a few minutes ago and it had loosened up again. Not sure why it did that or what I should do to fix it. |
reach into the mag wel and MANUALLY push in the mag disconnect .... its easy to do that way you can decock it without any problems. |
