| somehow I have managed to never own a serious knife. yeah, I've had a buck or 2 and a couple CKRT products but not being a camper never necessitated anything more. today I stopped at Knife World in Sevierville on my way to Chattanooga. I had time to kill and damn is the place huge. I saw that they were having a 20% off sale on all knives so on a whim I decided to buy something. I opted for an Esse 5 OD plain edge with the tan canvas grip. it was about $105 with discount. how'd I do? I have seen the Esse knives before and always admired tge stout construction and the fact they are made in the USA. |

Good knife. I know that store. 15 feet north of you was the counter for Becker Knife and Tool, which would have been my choice, but the Esee's are a good quality knife.
I live about 30 minutes from there. I'm in that store more than I should be, but it's normally for ammo. They will often have the best local prices by a pretty decent margin. |

Better sheath, scales and the warranty isn't implied it's stated and boasted all over the net. Good job OP |
| oh, I hit Buds as the well. no deals to be had. SMKW has Buds beat on ammo by a mile. XM193 Federal black box was $7.99. I bought 10 boxes of Hornady .17 hmr JHP for $11 per box of 50. great deal. I foresee many more stops at SMKW in the future as my travels take me along I-40 frequently. |
