Finally bought one I've been looking at for a while
Compared to the spyderco endura wave
Feels great in the hand, solid lockup
Love it

I am a huge fan of the Osborne designs Benchmade has. I was wavering between a several of the Osborne designs but when I saw the 940-1 in the S90V and the full CF handle I had to go that way. Now I'm saving up for a Contego too.

Nice. I've been picking up Benchmades lately, and the fixed blade Contego is on the list. Might just have to get a folder to go with it.

I gave up on Benchmade after a few encounters with douchey employees at trade shows. Nice knives but the Glessers get my money now.

Employees all have a bad day. ......Trade shows being some of the worst scenarios. I'lltake what I like for features.

Good looking knife, but I have to ask
what will it do better than a Kershaw for 1/3 the money?

That's like asking what a LaRue mount will do that a Burris won't. Or what a Sig will do that a HiPoint won't.

What will a BMW do that a civic wont?
A big part of the Contego is the steel. CPM M4 is a beast. It'll cut for days without losing a sharp edge and basically forever on a working edge even and very steep edge angles. M4 is a great steel but not cheap. Add in the cerakoting on the blade, the aggressive G10 scales, axis lock and mark-up (Benchmades MAP pricing) and you get a higher price.
No freeloading
