Let me begin by saying I am no stranger to a sharpening stone. I just switched knife styles and need info on if anything needs to be done different. I have a Microtech Ultratech Bayonet that I carry daily but rarely use that I have considered sharpening. Having 4 edges meet at one tip is something I have zero experience with. Anything I need to do different?

Perhaps the first step would be ditching that aborted fetus attached to an otherwise decent 1911.

I think I am confused by this. What do you mean 4 edges meet at 1 tip? What 4 edges?

It's two edges but four grinds, a spear point.

Oh, I think I see what you are talking about now. I think you are talking about the bevels that are cut into the stock. In which case its just like sharpening every other knife. There is only one secondary bevel (aka - edge) to the knife, which is the only part you will be sharpening. The other two bevels wont be involved in that process.

I plan to sharpen all for bevels. Should be ok
