This is a prototype I have been working on. It is a larger version of my Valkyrie (which I have not yet finished). 7 3/4" blade and around 13 1/2" overall. 5/16" 1075 steel. OD green micarta handles.Clay quenched for a differential hardening. Chisel ground. High flat grind on the bottom portion of the blade and then a thick convex grind on the end. Acid etched and mustard patina. Textured pommel for hammering.

Thanks for looking.

That is ridiculously cool! Do you make knives for sale or just as a hobby?

Eta: stupid question but how is the pommel textured?

Thanks.i make them both for sale and as a hobby. I have probably made less than 50 knives, and I take orders on a case by case when I have the time.

I have a 20 tpi checkering file and the pommel has a flat cross checkered section similar to the head on a framing hammer.
