| Thinking of buying of eBay. Do you guys have a Recommended seller? Just looking to save a few bucks. Might be better off getting from a trusted web-site? |
|
That was really specific. Links to auctions would help.
But to be honest if it's a price that beats what is on normal retail sites and they have a few hundred or thousand sales with very little to no negative feed back you are usually safe and its a good idea. Just my $.02 |

Just my $.02 Agreed 100%. eBay is always one of the places I check when I'm comparison shopping. Not just knives but anything I order online which is just about everything. I only look at the buy it now items so I never have to bid on anything, just click a button and it's mine. There are tons of sellers with 10,000+ feed back and 99.9% positive ratings and I've never had a single problem. |

Be careful with fakes. There is a lot of mid range knives like Benchmade and Spyderco that are often faked. Some are almost impossible to tell.
If you spend $70 on a fake Spyderco and don't care that it's fake, that fine. But places like GPKnives or BladeHQ are pretty close to any "Buy it Now" price on EBay. There are a few sellers as mentioned earlier that have lots of feedback and are legit. See what else the seller is selling. What are you looking for? |

It depends what you're looking for. I've bought a couple used knives from http://www.ebay.com/sch/multitoolsandstuff/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25&_trksid=p3692
The Benchmade I bought was in excellent condition and the price was about $70 less than buying new at BladeHQ or such. The other knife I bought was a discontinued knife so the only option was to purchase it on the secondary market. On my second order he threw in a couple free albeit cheap knives :). |

If I want new, I look at: http://www.knifeworks.com/ http://www2.knifecenter.com/ If I want used, I look at the exchange/buy/sell/trade sections of sevearl knife forums, in addition to eBay. I only get things on eBay if I can snipe it. |
