It's a really BIG knife and fat as well. I looked at one, then decided on the Benchmade Contego. Still a big knife, but a little slimmer. I also did not care for the holes only good for getting pocket lint and small coins caught in them.

On second thought, maybe the holes will let the lint out instead of trapping it? But it is a big knife, not something I wanted in my pocket. Post pics of it in your hand when you get it please.

I edc the 275 manual version and love it. My wife bought it for me for Father's Day thinking it was the auto version. But I'm not complaining, it's my first high end knife and it's built great. But like others have said its a much larger knife than the kershaw leak I used to carry

Friggin AWESOME blade, traded for one in as-new condition for the Mrs. as she always wanted an auto, now i'm so jealous I can't stand it, hoping she's looking at one for Christmas for me. Seriously stout blade, locks open with an unmistakeable beefy sounding CLUNK, it's not a playtoy, you could survive with this knife, it's that solid. Very positive locking mechanism, and bonus lockout switch that double locks the blade open or closed.

It's an awesome knife, I have the non auto version but have handled both. Its big, solid, probably the last knife you'll ever own type knife. The non auto opens about as fast as yours, but I would prefer the auto if give a chance to switch. I carry mine everyday, its def a mans knife.

Small coins? The holes are like half the diameter of a dime.

It is a great knife for the money I have had mine about six months and has done everything I asked it to do.

I have been carrying a Zero Tolerance 301 so this knife doesn't feels that much bigger. Except it is thicker through the handle.

Some foreign coins are very small. I didn't specify US coins.

I just got one last week, (manual version).  It's awesome, very big for a folding knife, very robust as well. The blade is thick and so is the handle and its sharp as hell straight out of the box.

Its not ridiculously huge, but its size and weight might be the only drawbacks for EDC.

It's the .50 Cal of folding knives..

the tan version is painted and supposedly wears easily
, I would have thought the scales were a solid color.

You sure about that? I have the tan version that I have carried for a year now and still looks great. I don't beat the hell out of it but it sees daily use. My only issue has been my wallet staining the scales a touch from them both being in the same right rear pocket.

i believe it was only the early versions of the adamas that were painted. the new ones should be tan g10 all the way through.
