Buddy of mine is getting hitched in November ; decided on getting him a benchmade griptilian as a gift. I was set on the mini grip, but the price between the mini and full size at the site I'm shopping is only $7. Just looking for some input from those who have carried either or both, is the size difference noticeable? I carry a full size grip as an EDC, but the guy I'm getting it for is a smaller gentleman, isn't really a gun/knife guy, and I'm not even sure he'll ever actually carry it. Any suggestions on other pocket knives in the sub $100 range is also welcome.

| Your making the right choice getting him a Griptilian, but it really depends on how big his hands are...if he is pretty small and not really a knife guy to begin with, I would get him the mini...anyone with regular size or large hands needs the full size. You can also make a customized griptilian on benchmades website..costs a little more, but you get exactly what you want, you could get it inscribed with his wedding date or something. Good luck! |

The only thing I might add is that you could fancy it up a bit and get him the Doug Ritter version of the mini-grip in S30V steel (link)
