I bought these two theater-made fighting knives today. Both are made from M1 Carbine bayonets as best as I can tell. One is slightly different than the other as to tip profile.

They were made aboard ship during the Korean War if the story is to be believed. One uses a cut-down MK-2 (Kabar) sheath and the other a altered M8A1.

Not much of a much as far as finish goes but solid and interesting (to me) all the same. I gave $30.00 for the two.

The blades kind of look like Terzuola's designs (long, narrow, with a swedge halfway up the back):

Very nice. Yes, M1 Carbine Bayonets-M4's, or M3 fighting knives. That's where the bayonet's blade design came from. I'm a big fan of theater made knives. They can still be had for great prices on occasion, too...which is more than I can say for most of my hobbies! Ha!
