I recently lost my old CRKT kiss tanto. I know, I know, they are really cheap and I could replace. I also know no one likes tanto's but I used it all the time for scraping things of glass and it really worked well when pushed like a chisel. I would like something bigger and I've been looking at benchmades and ZT's, the price tag doesn't bother me as long as its high quality.

The other thing I noticed is today's tanto's look different. My CRKT was from the late 80's, yeah I had it a long time and now I feel naked without it. I have been carrying my kershaw chive and its just not working as well. Can anyone recommend a brand that I may be missing?

The Benchmade 553 is the tanto version(if that's the type of blade you are looking for.) of the Griptillain...which I think is one of the best EDC knives you can buy.

A ZT 0350 would also be a great edc blade. If you are looking for other suggestions besides Bnechmade and ZT, maybe a Gerber 06...it's tanto and an assisted blade.

Benchmade 710. I've had mine for 13+ years. I've tried to replace it but it keeps finding its way back into my pocket. You won't be sorry you did.

Kershaw Cryo is a good choice.

One of my favorites as well. The Mini Griptilan is great too if you want something smaller.
