Thought about picking this up for a general utility/survival knife, and the price looks right. I have heard though that SOG isn't the SOG it use to be and quality is spotty. Anybody have any thoughts or opinions on this knife?

Just picked up a SOG Gov.tac from Midway on their sale ($50) last month. The sheath is a bit disappointing, but the blade itself is nice and marked made in Taiwan. The Demo model looks like the handle and guard are pretty similar if not identical.
