I was going to title this, for your viewing enjoyment, but let's face it.  I bought it for ME, and I just want to show it off.

I've gone back and forth for years over getting one of these.  During the Viet Nam era, Randalls, and this model in particular were almost the holy grail of knives.  They were expensive and made in limited numbers, so those who had them were envied.

One of my favorite knives of all time.  I've wanted one since I was a kid.

I'm not sold on the practicality of hollow handled knives, but I love them.  I'd love to have a Randall 18 like yours some day and a Lile too.  I have a Chris Reeve Project 1 and it's big, heavy, and not really very practical but it's still one of my favorites.

I, also, have a Chris Reeve One Piece Knife.  Mines the Aviator model.   With the 5.5" blade (this seems to be my favorite blade length) it's much lighter and handles better than the bigger models.

I picked up the Aviator years ago instead of spending more for the Randall.  Now I have both, which one to use, which one to use?

If that's what they are asking, it's over priced.  If that's what folks are bidding, they're idiots.  You can go to the Randall web site as see what they sell them for.

... with a five year wait.   Time is money and all that jazz.

Hmm,  I paid less than that and the wait was about five days.  And, no, I'm not giving up my source, but they are on the web.

I just ca... made a mess on myself.

For those who do not know,   those are older Randalls on the left and newer Randalls on the right.

The knife on the bottom right corner that looks like a Scagel, is that a Randall?

Not quite KYVENOM-
Top left is a Busse Team Gemini
Top right is a Model 18
Bottom left is an older Model 14
Bottom right is a Treeman custom I had Jim Behring make for me.

good eye HarryStone- Behring makes awesome Scagel styles, and if you get it directly from him, you don't pay a crazy premium. I got this years ago and it was quite reasonable with about a two week wait. I specified what I wanted, and couldn't be happier. It also has a compass mounted in the butt.

And for those that are wondering, I've used them all.

That is awesome!

Thanks for naming them.

Oh yeah, I saw some of his years ago.  I love that Scagel style.
