I got one of these the other day.... ok... it's a "Movie" knife, but I'll tell you what, for 3 lbs of 1090 Carbon steel, this thing is a beast of a tool.

Where as I don't want this for my every day knife, strapped to my back over the shoulder, this knife/machette is hard to beat. There is a review on it titled KNIVES THAT ARE TOOLS

I've chopped wood with it, cut out undergrowth, planed a 4x4 on the side of my house, pryed boards loose, and I even tested the theory about pounding nails. (which by the way works, but you are much better off with a hammer). It never even came close to letting me down.

One word of caution... If you swing it with all your strength, into a thick piece of wood like a tree stump..... Be prepared to use other tools to get it out......

If you can put aside the movie knife stigma, re-wrap the handle (The new ones come with leather wrapping, but I still prefer paracord), and get over the obvious fake hammer marks on the blade... I would recomend this knife to anyone.... as a tool.
