PVK.com has over a thousand knives in stock. I had used them in the past to buy knives and had a decent experience. They don't give you tracking numbers so you never know when your knife will arrive.
Well I bought a very rare Emerson conversion from them last Monday and was told it would ship out on Tuesday using Priority mail. When I didn't get it on Thursday I called Friday morning to find out if they had sent it. His company phone number is his cell phone so you can tell when he is on the other line and when ou are forwarded to voicemail manually. He ignored my call and. Sent me to voicemail. I left a message and asked for confirmation of shipping any any tracking number available. I didn't get any call back on Friday or Monday and still no knife. I called again on Monday as well as sent an email requesting assistance in getting a status of where my knife was. By Tuesday, there was still no call back or reply to my email. Any time I tried calling, he would let voicemail get it. I finally sent him one last message last night telling him to please provide status or I would dispute the charge with my credit card. He responded with a short message saying give me one minute to get you a status. Well a day later and nothing. He still doesn't answer his phone so I filed a claim with my credit card today. It turns out he is ranked an F with the Better Business Bureau and has 8 unresolved claims against him for sending bad merchandise and not shipping knives after collecting money. I wanted to let you know about this company so that you don't get taken advantage of like I did. Josh the owner has been personally avoiding calls and email for whatever reason. Obviously with his BBB F rating, I am not the only one. So buyer beware. |

I am glad you agree that this crap is unacceptable. I posted the same thing on another knife forum and two people wrote replies stating "PVK is known for poor customer service, and they don't return calls, and rarely return email. However, it may take 2-3 weeks for him to ship your knife, but you will eventually get it."
I can't believe they put up with that crap just to save a few bucks. There are plenty of places to buy knives online that ship fast and answer their phones. I am hoping my credit card fraud department will get him to ship me my knife, but if not they are charging him back. Quoted:
Wow, thanks for posting that. I'm sorry for what you are going through, but getting the word out about this guy hopefully will shut down his business for good. I am taking him off my bookmarked list of reputable knife dealers. |
