I've posted pics of a couple from this pattern and figured why break the streak. :)
This one was by request and has a few slightly different twists compared to my usual.

First, it's 3/16", which I don't do a lot of, but then the handle scales are 1/8" which I don't do a lot of on larger knives. It's ground to preserve as much of the spine as possible as close to the point as I could get without making it look odd. That gives a much stronger tip almost like you'd get with a western tanto style blade. The mosaic helps add a little extra flair. I wasn't sure how it'd all look but I like it. It's got a good feel in the hand, a fairly unique appearance, and the size is a nice balance between utility and weight. The steel is my usual 1080, handles are G10 with a white g10 liner underneath since the main material is translucent.

I've got the sheath molded and it's got a nice little click in hold without being tight, but it's not trimmed down and finished otherwise so no pics.

Love that high grind and blade shape.

Man, that is really sweet.

If your hands are that clean you ain't making enough knives. Get on it man.

LOL
I'd just washed up for doing the maker's mark, plus washing the equipment and stencil afterward. I think I'd washed my hands about five times in the past hour at that point between finishing work, the mark and cleaning up equipment.

And now off to finish the sheath.

I'd love to have some of that handle material to replace the scales on a knife my father made for me when I was a kid.  These look very close to the original color.  Can you let me know where to find it?

Beautiful knife too, I really like your work.  Cost on this one?

Thanks!

The color on that stuff varies, it's somewhat translucent. It's Ghost Jade Green G10. Various knife making supply places have it. I usually get it from usaknifemaker.com

Shipped cost on this guy was $140, my prices are steadily climbing as my skills improve.

Slight necro here, but I figured it made more sense than a brand new thread. The customer decided to double down and had me make a slightly smaller bladed version as well.

Not a great photo, I'll probably shoot some nicer stuff tomorrow after putting my maker's mark on.
The goal here wasn't really to shorten the knife, just the blade, to comply with laws in places that restrict knives over 4" blade length.

Another short version, even more compact this time. This one's also meant as an EDC and is significantly smaller than my regular Lycaon design. The customer suggested Wolfhound and it works for me.
This is also the second one of these knives I've done double beveled. In the past I only did my smaller blades with the double bevel. I'm not sure how much I like the brown canvas, canvas micarta doesn't appeal to me as much as linen or paper.
Yet again, pics predate me getting the maker's mark on there.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm not sure which I prefer, the full height flat grind or leaving about 1/3" flats. From a grinding perspective, full flats are easier, that's for sure.

Absolutely stunning.

Do you use wood for the handles on any of your knives?

Once in a while. I've done one Lycaon with bocote and a number of kitchen knives with stabiized burl. A few smaller knives got bolivian rosewood. I'm going to be doing more with stabilized wood but my knives tend toward the utility rather than fine art side of things these days. My current focus is on satin finishes and adding stainless steel to my offerings for current designs. I've also got a new design I want to start making. I say that, but my current actual project is some kitchen knives with burl, I'm just waiting to hear back from some customers so I know what supplies I need to get.
