some times when i am sitting around waiting on the temper oven or some epoxy to cure, i like to drag out an already finished knife and re-model it a little.  that is how i started making knives.  i would take factory knives and modify them a bit.  this is the last of a run of Heretic skinners and it had not sold, so i went to work on it.  it came out with this wild black and grey finish.  i am calling it my Black Vein finish from now on.

Insipientia corde suo, non es deus. Non est vita qui adorem. Non es usque ad unum. Es excommunicatus, ex unione fidelium. It is not heresy and I will not recant.

Sorry first thing that came to mind when I read the title.  I do like the way the finish is.  Kinda reminds me of the black lines in spalt.

Why the dip in the front of the blade?  I like it other than that.

I like the knife a lot.  I also immediately thought of Rob Zombie.

Nice job.

This.  Beautiful blade and I really like the scales you put on it.

It's his signature on all of his blades.

appreciate the feedback, fellas.  i really like this piece as well.  it is going to a good customer of mine up in canada.  yeah, the notches are just something i like to do for looks and i get quite a few requests for it on models that don't normally have it.  you will also notice that a lot of my designs don't have a plunge line.  i love the look of a sweeping angle with no plunge line.  it just looks very sleek and clean with no plunge.  just one of my little quirks.
