Let me first say that I am not knowledgeable when it comes to knives so I am at your mercy.
I work as a police officer and my folding blade is getting close to needing replacement. Another officer purchased an auto blade and I have to say I was really impressed with it. Now since I don't know much on the subject can you guys help me choose the best one to use while on duty? THANKS! |

| For duty use I would get something relatively inexpensive, they tend to get abused and/or lost. I carry a Kershaw Blackout (assisted) and/or a cheap Gerber, both were given to me. I carry the folders as utility knives and a fixed blade (Colt Steel Spike) as a defensive tool. I have a good number of nice knives, including a couple Benchmade autos but I only carry them off duty. That said, my Benchmade autos are nice if you want to carry one on duty. |
