My neighbor knows I do some modest Smithing & machine work, & on a few rare occasions some restorations.
So today he comes running across the street asking me to take a look at a couple bayonets & a sword that his grand father brought back from WWII.
They looked in fairly good condition but the ceremonial sword looked like someone tried to a whack at something with it.
I am the furthest from being a blade expert.
So where do I start on identifying what my neighbor has?

All 3 look to be German in origin & the Sword has the 2" swastika engraved on the hilt.

Thanks in Advance for any help.
