Hi,

I got this sheath from SKD tactical:(spec-ops  Combat Master sheath)
http://www.skdtac.com/Spec_Ops_Knife_Sheath_Combat_Master_p/spo.102.htm

questions is how you go about puting it on a ESStac chst rigg ussing the molle webbing.
http://www.skdtac.com/Esstac_Chest_Rig_LBB_Load_Bearing_Boar_p/ess.520.htm

My Tops sheath has a strap in the back that ig snaps so you can pass it in the molle webbing, the spec ops has molle pals (webbing) in tha back but they are sew in..
Any ideas??? I don't wan to put the sheath in my belt hence I already have a my pistol (holster)
Thanks.

From the pictures it looks like the top loops have snaps to hold it on. If they're not really snaps, I can only think of undoing the paracord and lacing it on the rig.

Use malice clips.

You will most likely have to have it mounted sideways that way, but it will work with just the malice clips.

I have many times used 550 cord to tie into my webbing with odd items as well as my knife. It works well and easy to remove by cutting it. One continuous strand woven through the loops on both secure it well. I carry my combat machete this way so you can believe it works well. The other option would be to secure it to the suspender at your shoulder on strong side or weak side depending on whether you have a long gun or not. Point up, handle down, is a good way to carry usually. I would look to find straps with velco...like the 'Get-a-grip" velcro straps that wrap to themselves. i go to my tailor with the right color strap I need and have velcro sewn on it. That way I can remove it yet it is secure- and I have nothing hard that can impact me except the knife

Thanks for the info, now do you guys know where I can get a quality tactical (cordura or similar) sheath in coyote that will work on my molle chest rigg?

Thread the belt hangers through the molle, secure lower part of the sheath with 550.

Short answer: NO.

The Spec-Ops sheaths are really the only decent universal knife sheaths I've seen on the market. If you're savvy, you can set them up to carry in a LOT of ways.

If you want a simple, molle-only sheath for a knife, you generally have to go custom if it didn't come with one in the first place.

What knife do you have that this sheath is intended for? Some knives already come with a decent sheath, and may only need molle-loks attached to them.

I want to used it on a couple of Tops knives, they do came with a very nice nylon(cordura) sheath that will attacht to my chest rigg the only problem, if you can call it that is that they only come in black..

I think that I will attacht the Spec ops sheath to the left shoulder/chest suspender of the rigg with the handle pointing down and when I used my pack on the pack in the same way

Even though the Spec-Ops sheath is universal, I wouldn't suggest having one for use with multiple knives.

For a proper fit, the core needs to be removed from the sheath, heated with a hair dryer or heat gun, and lightly molded around the specific blade.

Otherwise, the knife could be loose. The retention will be poor, other than the snap-strap, and the blade will wiggle and make noise when moving.
