[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Fake Benchmade 530????

Anyone heard of any fake Benchmade 530 knives turning up? I have one that I will take pics of soon and it looks pretty good to be a fake compared to close up pics online with blade markings, etc. . The things that make me suspicious is that the action gets hung up rather easy when opening and it is very "light" feeling. Is it just me or is that normal (it would be strange for a Benchmade).

Yes, there have been reports of fake/replica 530's.

When I was in Iraq there was this weird ass assisted opening benchmade knock off floating around. A lot of people got them. The design was actually interesting. Wish benchmade actually made one like it.

That's what I like about mine, and its thin profile. It's been my everyday knife since I got it about a year ago.

I'm sure mine is the real deal but would be interested in the markings that identify the fakes.
