Is there any other good source for the foam used in a kydex press?  I am making a press and just need the foam.  Should I stick with foam from the knife suppliers or will something else work?  It will be for knive sheaths so I figured this would be a good place to start.

I bought one of those blue foam roll up sleeping bag mats at Wallyworld.

Had to double it up to get the right thickness, but It works ok for what it has to do.

And to add:

Don't expect to get dozens of sheaths out of this foam.
It kinda of compresses and does not spring back to 100% new condition after a couple of uses. (due to the heat of the kydex)

But for a hobby maker, for personal use, it's fine.

For knives I liked to use the black pipe insulation foam.  I got a lot of uses out of it, but it is not wide enough for holsters.

I just upgraded to the foam from Tracy at USA knife makers supply, can't say enough good things about dealing with him.

The foam used is real rubber foam and it holds up t the heat well. you can buy it about anywhere they sell rubber mats but Tracy and Knifekits.com all have the rubber already the right size and thickness.
