I have been trying to get a super sharp edge to one of my knives that has a blade made from S30V steel. I must be doing something wrong because I just cant get that  edge I'm looking for.  I have a Presto Pro eversharp that I use for my kitchen knives.  Would I be making a mistake using this  sharpener to hone my ZT knife with the S30V steel?

An electric sharpener isn't really the right tool for sharpening anything but kitchen knives, and mostly not even then.

Try a SharpMaker. It took me a while to learn the ropes, but I get hair-shaving edges every time with it.

I second the sharp maker.  I am not really a sharpening wizard and I got a pretty legit edge on my endura when I was cutting cardboard a lot.  You can do it pretty quickly too which is a plus.
