What do you guys think about cold steel and their folding knives ? Thinking about a spartan ...

Is it comfortable for you to hold?
Can you use the knife the way it's shaped?
It's good steel and a strong safe lockwork that won't let you down.
As for me it is not comfortable for me to hold and limits my grip.
But then I don't have use for "fantasy" knives.

I have a cold steel voyager with the tanto blade. Have carried it for over 10 years. Trusty companion. Lightweight and strong, think I'll keep it.

Cold steel makes solid blades. Best imports on the market IMO.

I'm not for folders, so I've spent more time with their fixed blades, and they are second to none.

Cold Steel's Spartan is excellent. Only problem is my came with a weird edge on it (still very sharp-just asymmetrical) and the edges of the Grivory handle scales could use a touch with a Dremel tool/sandpaper. After that, comfortable to use, great blade, reasonable rust protection (keep it oiled), and overall great value.

i didn't think it was a "fantasy" knife but it is the only folder that i have found that has a 4 inch plus blade and under my 75 dollar price point going to use it for hog hunting and it seems to be good at piercing and slicing.

I have a Spartan and its definitely bigger than it looks in the magazine. "Thats what she said", just in case someone was going to put that response, I beat you to it.  Love the knife, but you might have to work the pocket clip a little. Kind of hard to pull out of your pocket. Sharp as hell.

Decent kit.  You can afford two of them as opposed to one excellent unit. Two is one/one is none.

Go with CS until you can afford to revisit the issue.
