The Rat Cutlery website has a number of reviews under one of it's buttons on its website homepage. Just got a RC3Mil for LE use, and the RC 6 is my next planned purchase from them.

Definitely go with the RAT Cutlery RC-6, not the Ontario Rat 6, it'll have a FAR better warranty, and better fit and finish.  I own several of their knives and they are all built solidly, with top notch fit and finish.  I can't speak to the RC-6, but I do have the RC-5, and I'd trust my life to it without a doubt.

RC5 is 1/4" stock. Seems thicker though since it's only 5 1/4" long!

Here's my RC5

Here's my RC6. I love it!

How do you figure? It's the same type as the RC3?

The kydex sheath for my RC-4 is great. The pics of the RC-6 sheath on the website do not look great. Anyone have any first hand impressions?

I just used a couple of rat tail files when it was slow at work. Micarta is pretty easy to shape.

The sheath is OK. Not great to look at but it has good retention and I don't remember it ever rattling. I put a tek-lok on mine and she rides a little high. I'd like to get a drop loop leather sheath made for it since it's such a sweet knife.

The sheath, while not kydex, does it's job perfectly.  Retention is solid with a noticeable "click".  No rattling what so ever.  I also purchaed the Rat Cutlery MOLLE backing with accessory pouch for a great setup.

I'd really like to pickup a RAT knife as well...
Do you guys see any way to distinguish between getting an RC4/5/6?

Why'd some of you go with the 6 over the 5?  Or vise-versa...

Thanks

As other people have said go with a RAT knife and not a Ontario. I can not speak for the the RC6 but I do have to Izula and the RC5 and they are both great knives. I am hoping to order my RC3 within the next few weeks.

Where's the cheapest place to buy RAT knives online?

I was going through a lot of their dealer links and they all either, 1) Carry Ontario, 2) Out of business

New Graham

If they don't have what you want in stock, they'll email you when it becomes available. Nice people.

There is nothing wrong with the Ontarios.

^ Yes, but the Rat knives are superior in finish, have a different steel and have a lifetime, no questions asked warranty.

RAT Cutlery is leaps and bounds above Ontario RATs in looks, finish, quality and CUSTOMER SERVICE. There is no better CS in the business IMO.

Here is my RC-6 with RAT Pack.

I just got my RC-3MIL from knifeworks, about $100 shipped, I really like it and am glad I bought it. But I would like a nice leather sheath for it down the road.

The kydex is nice and there are alot of carry options between it and the black molle back and boot clip and paracord even.

This was the exact one i got.
