Looking for folks experience with Fallkniven.  I gues more like I am looking for validation with my purchase .

After watching the knife torture tests, I was smitten with Fallkniven and decided to give them a try. Only problem is, couldn't pick just one. Picked up the A2;

Fallkniven Wilderness Knife. 12 3/4" overall. 8" Laminated VG-10 Steel bowie blade. This is almost a machete in itself. A good bit too big for camp kitchen chores, but could be done I suppose.

Fallkniven S1 Forest Knife w/ Nylon Sheath. 9 3/4" overall length. 5 1/8" black coated VG-10 Stainless utility blade. This feels like just about the perfect size for me. Smaller than a Kabar, but with a stouter blade. Both knives are made of laminated steel which stood up to incredible amounts of punishment in the tests. I haven't put them to any test myself, other than to shave off a bit of hair. Both knives are scary sharp from the factory. I am anal retentive about my knives, and these will most likely be with me when I die, hopefully with a few scars gained along the way. Hope to take them on their first camping trip in a couple of weeks.

Any input appreciated.

I don't have one (yet) but FWIW I have never seen any negative posts about them here, on Blade Forums or on Knife Forums.  I'm not a big fan of the handle style, though.  My taste runs to Micarta or G10...

What he said.  I have heard nothing but good things about them from the people who really know knives.

I'll add this––the only reason I don't own a Fallkniven yet is I don't like the handle material.  However, Fallkniven sells blades without handles for several of their models!  One of the projects on my "to do" list is a Fallkniven blade with stag scales, and maybe one with G10 scales.

I've got an F1 with the micarta scales;  pricey but very nice knife.
