| time line is a little loose, but around the end of july i e-mailed them with some questions. they e-mailed back and advised that i call for more complete answers. i did and ended up placing an order over the phone for an 18" hammerforged axe. they didn't have them on the web site yet but said that shipping would happen in 4 or 5 weeks. i gave a credit card # to pay for the order. since then i've sent a couple of e-mails and left one phone message asking about the ship date and recived no response. i'm a little worried about my having my credit card # out there and not having any contact with them. anyone know what might be going on? its getting onto 2 months and no axe, which wouldn't be a problem if they returned any of my attempts to contact them. thanks for any info people. |

Hey guys, This is rc from RMJ Tactical. I saw the exchange about RMJ Tactical tomahawks, so I thought I'd jump in. Apologies to Bonz23 for failure to respond. Our standard Shrike tomahawk is 15 1/2" long, have offered 18" version, but we didn't get the handle perfected until last week. We try to get to everyone, sometimes a call or email gets lost in the shuffle and we don't want that to happen, but occasionally I know it does. Unfortunately, tomahawk making is our passion, but not our primary jobs/careers. We are committed to getting our hawks to the military personnel who are using them in Afghanistan and Iraq so they always go to the front of the line. We apologize to civilians that have been waiting, but military personnel are and always have been our main focus. If one of our hawks can help bring one of them home, well, that is why we do what we do. The History Channel's Modern Marvels has an episode called AXES that features tomahawks for about 10 minutes of the segment. About seven minutes of it feature either our tomahawk or Ryan Johnson who designs and makes our hawks. The show airs once or twice a month. Each time it does we get a good indication of who is deploying next. In September, we received about 50 orders from Army personnel who are deploying by the end of October and we are making every effort to get those orders filled so we don't have to ship to APO addresses. In August, Marines were placing orders. As it stands this morning, we have 45 military orders to ship. We have a total of 186 hawks that have been ordered including the mil orders. We are completing between 10 and 30 hawks a week, depending on our regular work loads. If anyone has an order, you can call me toll free to get your status. 866-779-6922. richard |
