I've had a TOPS Cougar Claw for a couple of years now. Nice little knife. I really like this brand (they are manufactured about 45 minutes from me). The only problem is, I was not very impressed with the factory edge it came with. I have spent a little time with it, and got it a little sharper, but not nearly to the degree of my other knives. These blades are just so much thicker than the rest of my collection. I realize that they are capable of handling some pretty rough jobs. For a knife like this, should I not be concerned with a razor sharp edge? Or do I just need to change the angle to make it function at it's full capacity. If so, is the Lansky system the best way to do this, or should I look at something else? I don't really want to break the bank. Thanks |
