Here's a Tomahawk that I have been working on:

L6 Tomahawk

Hand Forged Crucible L6 Tool Steel with GunKote Head

Molten Salt quench

Differentially heat treated with hamon.

Noryl (synthetic) handle that I carved for this particular head with DuraCoat OD green.

Kydex sheath with TekLok.

I'm not quite finished yet but I thought that I would share the progress with you.

I have also started on a W1 head to be finished in a similar manner.

When I get it completed I'll post some better pictures.

Respectfully,

Robert

Excellent work! I think L6 was a good choice for that hawk.

very interesting and looks good and strong. Tomahawks have become a big interest of mine, I carried a lagana tactical in iraq and have taken to throwing them since I've been back.
I wish I had the skills you have to make something like that. Looks like that's gonna be a very good tomahawk. Will enjoy seeing the progress and finished product.
