Is there a benchmade website akin to ar15.com? I am woundering as I am in search for a very specific type of knife that benchmade came out with and have been trying in vain since last year to replace. Any ideas what dedicated knife or blade forum I should visit. I have the box which I believe has the model specific code. |

I would consider myself an expert on all things benchmade. Whats the model number? These sites are helpfull also. benchmadeforum.com/groupee www.benchmade.com/ www.pbase.com/patryn/my_knives www.pbase.com/haveblue/benchmade www.pbase.com/balisong/balisong_catalogs |
So which number is your BM forum knife? |

They usually make 25-50 or so prototypes of each knife for evaluation. In the regular production run of the 941D2CF they made 500, and they also did a run of 500 of the 940D2CF, which is the same knife just with a different blade profile. The protos have sold for as much as $450, but the regular ones usually go for $250-$350. E-bay would probably be the best place to find one, or else post a wanted to buy ad on one of the knife forums. |
